Dual agency, or representing both sides of the same deal, often leads to ambiguities and conflicts of interest. When you buy or sell your home through a dual agent, you do not have someone fully dedicated to you. This does not presume that a dual agent is taking advantage of you—merely that they find themselves in a very complicated situation.
Since our clients have so much at stake, we believe that they deserve the undivided loyalty of their real estate agent. As such, we sign brokerage agreements with our clients that legally bind us to this fiduciary commitment.
