After a brief but detailed phone conversation in which I told Ian the neighborhoods I was interested in, the price range I'd be willing to spend, and my list of "must have" and "wish list" amenities - Ian went right to work. Not only did he immediately start sending me listings (with his personal opinions/comments), but he also visited prospecitive apartments on his own time - thus needling out the ones that he (correctly assumed) would be a waste of my time to see in person. Ian's background work and canvassing made our first day of apartment viewings wildly productive - in fact I ended up purchasing the second apartment we viewed, which fell in love with on the spot. Ian was thorough in showing me numerous apartments beyond the one purchased, which only made my decision easier and my mindset stronger. As my real estate agent, he negotiated a quick and fair deal on my behalf, and then helped me immensely throughout the co-op board package and approval process. His attention to detail, and his patience, expertise, and sound advice proved to be an enormous asset to me, which I am still very thankful for today.
